Walking down la Croisette is amazing any time of the year, with stunning views of the Mediterranean. If you happen to be in the area during the Film Festival, there is a different kind of energy that is absolutely infectious and exciting. The red carpet is rolled out, and you will see fashionable women in stunning dresses and men in tuxedo’s any time of the day. It certainly feels like Hollywood.

With our connections, we were able to obtain last minute tickets to the soirée and would absolutely recommend it to anybody who loves film, or perhaps just likes to be part of the excitement. Let us know when you are ready to plan your trip and we will see what we can do for you! Formal attire is required – men must don a bow-tie if you wish to walk the red carpet prior to the screening. We went to the premiere of Ahlat Agaci (The Wild Pear Tree), a Turkish film directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan. While it was a bit long, the excitement of being part of such an amazing event kept us intrigued. Afterward, you can walk to one of the many nearby restaurants for a bite, or perhaps attend one of the many exciting parties.

Even if you’re not a movie buff, and regardless of the time of year, we definitely recommend including Cannes on your next trip to the south of France and Côte d’Azur, the French Riviera. The food scene is great, and there is plenty of shopping outlets if that’s what you desire. Additionally, there are a few spectacular hotels in the area and we look forward to helping with your arrangements. Reach out to us when you are ready to plan your trip and we will help you out with accommodations and planning to maximize your time abroad.
